Connect2First is officially under construction outside the First Electric territory by providing services to the entire city of Cabot. This would not be possible without the citizens of Cabot passing a bond issue to fund a new fiber internet infrastructure. Leaders from Connect2First, the city of Cabot and supporting contractors met on Aug. 15 for a groundbreaking ceremony. State Senator Ricky Hill and State Representative Brian Evans also attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Both were instrumental in the passage of Act 67, which now allows cities to own their own fiber network.
